How do I know if my socket needs replacing or just a new plug?
If the outlet is loose, warm, discoloured, noisy, or power cuts in and out, the socket should be inspected and often replaced. We can test both socket and circuit.
Can you upgrade my existing socket to a USB socket?
Yes. We can replace standard outlets with USB or other upgraded sockets, provided the wiring and box depth are suitable. We will confirm compatibility during the visit.
Is a warm socket dangerous?
It can be. Warmth may indicate a loose connection or overload. Stop using the socket and arrange an inspection, especially if there is a burning smell or discoloration.
