Can you replace just the internal parts instead of the whole plastic cistern?
Often yes, especially if the cistern body is intact and not warped or cracked. We can inspect the inlet valve, flush valve, and seals, then advise whether a repair is reliable or replacement is better.
How long does a plastic cistern installation usually take?
Most straightforward replacements take one to two hours, depending on access and condition of existing fittings. Concealed cistern work can take longer if access panels or frames need adjustment.
Why is my new cistern still running water after flushing?
This is usually caused by an incorrect water level, a seal not seating properly, or a flush valve needing adjustment. We test multiple flush cycles during installation to prevent this, and we can fine tune the mechanism if needed.
